La Nua Community Employment Scheme

Overview

Lá Nua works under the Framework for Community Employment Drug Rehabilitation Schemes (Dept of Social Protection) and is hosted by Graiguecullen Parish. This scheme was put in place to provide rehabilitation training and development opportunities for people who are in recovery from drug and alcohol misuse or on maintenance in the Carlow area. Lá Nua C.E. Programme started in January 2015, with a mission: To provide participants (over 18) who are in recovery from substance misuse with a supported environment offering training and education, building on their personal development and self- reliance through employment.
